It’s Varalaru for Ajith

If there is someone who has been sustaining a major fan following from the very beginning, it is undeniably Ajith. His fans celebrate his every move, the audiences enjoy his histrionic abilities and critics get nothing less than awed to see his self-confidence, undeterred hard work and obsession about films that has always consistently been on the high.

Ajith is confidence personified. His contemporaries who are otherwise also his professional competitors cannot but agree to this. His warm gestures towards directors and conviction in keeping up with his ideals make him stand apart. His die-hard passion for racing did get him a few brickbats but it is to be remembered that he tried his best to juggle both acting and racing, both uncertain arenas in their own way. Let’s be magnanimous enough to accept this-it takes courage to pursue two different careers like these with utmost fervor and Ajith has done it. Ajith, then, is a role model for those that want to listen to their hearts.

In the current scenario, a movie running for 100 days in a theatre is a miracle. Ajith has shown that he can deliver miracles with the stupendous success of Varalaru, which has gone on to complete a 100 day run. Kollywood saw seven movies releasing for last Deepavali. Out of the seven, four films have crossed 100 days. Needless to say, Varalaru is one among them.

Varalaru, which opened in over 300 screens worldwide including 23 screens in Chennai district, has crossed the 100 day mark, much to the joy of his die-hard fans. India Today reported that this
film is the biggest blockbuster in Ajith's career. Trade pundits opine that this film would continue with its good run for some more time.

Generally, there is a feeling in the Tamil film industry that films which are in production for a long time do not do all that well. Many films have had delayed releases and unfortunately, they also turned out to be damp squibs. In a sentiment driven industry, Varalaru, which was lying in the cans for a long time, proved a point, and a strong one at that. Varalaru is a landmark film for Ajith for he was able to portray three different roles, which are in no way similar to each other, with aplomb. As the dancer with effeminate mannerisms, Ajith stole the show. A role of a lifetime, Ajith did it with clarity and conviction. The other two roles-one as a happy-go-lucky but a warm son, and other as a ruthless baddie, were just about perfect too.
At this juncture, Indiaglitz congratulates Ajith on this feat and we wish him continued successes. All the best Ajith, here’s hoping to see more of your brilliant performances!
