Billa shoots from April 5th

Ajit must be heaving a deep sigh of relief, as the shooting of his much-awaited film ‘Kireedom’ has been completed with only some patchwork left to be done. His perseverance and professionalism has surfaced now, as he has chosen to let his work do the talking by steering the film to the shore without delay. And now, it is almost certain that it will hit the theatres on his birthday, that is May 1.Producers Suresh Balajee and Adlabs are also happy for finishing such a big film in less than three months. They are expecting it to do great at the box-office, as it has right mix of entertainment and family sentiments to pull the crowds.Meanwhile, Ajit's next film tilled ‘Billa’ is scheduled to start rolling by next month. Director Vishnuvardhan is planning to start its shooting in some of the most exotic locations in Malaysia from April 5. Yuvan Shankar Raja is said to have already composed two rocking numbers for the film. Hottest Bollywood cameraman Nirav Shah is there to give extra punch to the pictures. Vishnu’s regular team veteran editor Sreekar Prasad and choreographer Kalyan are in this film too.

Shooting of Kreedom over

At the cargo-loading bay at Ennore Port, where over 500 containers were parked, it was mayhem recently, and Ajith was caught in the thick of it all. While by-standers watched anxiously, Ajith tossed aside Ajay Kumar like a bag of stale popcorn. The unit hands broke into spontaneous applause, since with the shot, the shooting of Kreedom was complete. Produced by Sujatha Cine Arts and Adlabs, the film stars Trisha as the heroine. Music is by GV Prakash, camera is by Thiru while editing is by Anthony. Story, screenplay, and direction are by Vijay. The film is likely to be a May release.

Kireedom, a tale of family sentiments

Ajith's Kireedom is fast nearing completion and it will hit the screens on 1 May, coinciding with Ajith's birthday.Featuring Trisha opposite Ajith, the movie directed by debutant AL Vijay Anand is produced by Suresh Balaji in association with Adlabs. Buzz is that young music director GV Prakash has come up with six catchy tracks for the movie and all of them are expected to top the audio charts. The likes of Sonu Nigam, Sadhana Sargam and Shankar Mahadevan have rendered their voices for the songs.Interestingly, the movie is different from Ajith's recent films. The actor has chosen to stay away from action-packed masala entertainers and has done a story with family sentiment in Kireedom.Kireedom is the story of a brave young man who is determined to fight against all odds to fulfill his father's (a constable) dream of seeing his son become a sub-inspector. The movie is inspired by the Malayalam hit of the same title which featured Mohanlal in the prominent role. Raj Kiran plays Ajith's father in the movie.
