The most awaiting film after shivaji is kireedom, starring Ajith in the lead along with Trisha, the movie is produced by Adlabs and sujatha cine Arts, this film is directed by debutant Vijay who was an ad film maker, this opportunity knocked on his door after several successful advertisements.
The basic story line of kireedom is absorbed from a Malayalam movie titled the same, in which veteran actor Mohanlal plays the lead. Though the plot is the same the director has created an action packed screenplay and an innovative script. The story revolves between the father and the son, their relationship and rapport, father character played Rajkiran who is an austere cop; Ajith plays his son, who aspires to leave to the US for a job, sudden unexpected twist in the story leads him to stay back, the rest of the story revolves around how he faces dispute in his life.
Director Vijay says “that this film will be a different approach and will assertively enthrall Ajith fans; the director also added that Ajith is a fervent and always trying to improvise his character” The music for this film is scored by GV Prakash of veyil fame; sources say that the music will be a great highlight in the film.
Actor Ajith says “that he has delivered his best for this film and the story will speak the rest”
Trisha has done justice to her role playing a simple and charming role. Saranya plays Ajith’s mother while Vivek plays a cameo with a humorous side.
The film is edited by Antony and cinematography is done by thiru, this film will be the next among the big league tentatively to be released in July.

Kreedom is the next big release after Sivaji and everyone is waiting for the release of this family drama starring Ajith and Trisha. G.V.Prakash made his presence felt with his very first album and when he joins hands with 'Thala' Ajith Kumar, it is sure to spark curiosity.

Lets see how the young G.V.Prakash fares,

Vizhiyil

The very first song starts with an impressive note and G.V.Prakash shows his mastery over slow paced romantic song. Inspiring orchestration, smooth and romantic sounds make this number a treat for all the fans of Ajith. The singers Sonu Nigam & Swetha do their work with perfect élan. A sure chart buster.

Kanavellam

The starting notes do give one a deja vu feel with Harris Jeyaraj's compositions. This number is sung by a proud father about his son which just follows the usual path with nothing new to offer but rich lyrics do make the song a good one to hear. The sounds used in between lighten up the track. Jeyachandran and Karthik do their job; overall an average track.

Vilayaadu Vilayaadu

This is the opening song of Ajith. It does have a peppy feel but still the sound is a little on a higher note and the rhythm is very much similar to some of the kuthu songs of the past. In the middle the sounds used though innovative is very harsh on ears. Shankar Mahadevan sings the song with his usual charm. A track that will satisfy Ajith's fans.

Akkam Pakkam

Sadhana Sargam is back with this slow number which is about the fantasies of a lover. Even though the rhythm and feel do remind us about her super hit 'Snegidane', the music director uses the sounds to good use. The lyrics too have a major hang over of Snegidane. Yet the final outcome is satisfactory.

Kaneer Thuliyae

A R Rahman looms over this number of G.V.Prakash which sounds a lot like Kanathil Muthamittal and Uyirae put together. Vijay Yesudas does justice to this track. Getting inspired by the legend of Indian film music is natural for any upcoming music director and it is more justified in G V Prakash's case as he shares the family genes with Rahman. However when one finds his own touch it aids the song to stand out. And G.V.P does find some success in that.

Kreedom Theme music

The start impresses the listeners but the flow is lost soon and when it is regained, it is a bit too late. It is a valiant attempt by the music director to add a theme song which has a running time of four minutes as it is quite rare in Kollywood. The final outcome is satisfactory, but Hindi music lovers can easily recognize the source of inspiration of G.V.Prakash.

Rating – 3/5

On the whole G.V.Prakash does a neat job but shows his uncle's effect on his music more than once. But as he is in his start up phase of his career, great things are expected from this young music director very soon. A decent buy.

"Kireedam" On July 12 ??

The Ajit - Trisha starrer Kireedam directed by A.L.Vijay is now scheduled for release on July 12, Thursday.It will be the first big Tamil release after Sivaji. The audio of the film will have a soft launch on Monday June 25, when it hits the market. Music is by G.V.Prakash.

The two minute trailer of the film is impressive, and if the film lives up to it, then Ajit will have a hit after a long time. For Ajit a lot rides on Kireedam as his last release Aalwar was a total washout. It is nota typical action mass masala but a realistic film with lot of subtle emotionsa and romance.

The lead cast of Raj Kiran, Ajit and Trisha are said to have come out with great performances. The final mixing is going on in Chennai and the film promises to be a total family entertainer.

AVM Gets Ready For Billa !!!

Malaysia seems to be the favorite abode these days for the Indian film fraternity be it for vacationing or for shooting. Following the prevailing norm, the unit of Billa 2007 was also stationed at this picturesque location for the last couple of months to shoot for the film. If sources are to be believed, shooting for Billa is fast approaching completion and the crew will be returning to Chennai by the end of this month. The remaining part of the film will be shot at AVM studios in Chennai from July and for this purpose an impressive gigantic set has been erected to complete the rest of the film. If things go as per the unit’s plan, the film should be ready for release in a couple of months which is certain to bring cheer to all of Ajith’s fans. An interesting trivia about the film is that Nayantara has shed her homely image and is appearing in bold, skimpy costumes in Billa 2007.

Even before Kreedom’s official audio launch, Adlabs production unit and official partner of Kreedom team released the Audio on Big F.M which was affiliate to the Adlabs. These days, F.M radios plays significant role in cine industry, even production unit were more depend upon F.M radio’s for the free promotion of their films.Especially big budget Movies, are more inclined towards F.M radios to support their films, at the same time within F.M radio’s there was a stiff competition between Radio station to highlight the event, in this Big FM had released the Audio of Kreedom without any notice.

Ajith opine on Sivaji

Although not in town to catch the live Sivaji action and excitement that has gripped Tamil Nadu and all over India, Ajith managed to catch a full glimpse of Sivaji when it premiered in Malaysia on Thursday (14/06/07) night, where he is shooting for the upcoming Billa. Ajith and Nayanthara were spotted in Damansara, Malaysia for the special premiere of the mega movie at 9.00 p.m.

They were greeted by Malaysian politician Datho Samuel. Ajith was also accompanied by Maras Ravi who handles the Malaysian shooting of Billa. Sivaji has obviously left Ajith and Nayanthara enthralled which was visible, sources present at the venue stated.Billa crew, which includes Namita, director Vishnuvardhan, and producer L. Suresh will be stationed in Malaysia for a month for the shoots.

K.S. Ravikumar will be directing Ajith in his next project and he has plans of signing Shreya opposite Ajith. After Villain and Varalaru, this will be his next project with Ajith. Ajith who is currently busy with Billa 2007 has agreed to work with K.S. Ravikumar for his next project.

Meanwhile, Shreya is delighted about her success in Kollywood. With Sivaji releasing this week , she has a great year ahead.

Kireedom In The Waiting

A total of 20 theatres in Chennai will be screening Sivaji beginning 15 July. It has deprived theatres for several films that were planning for a release in the last week of June. Kireedom starring Ajith was initially slated for a release during the last week of June.

Directed by newcomer Vijay, even the postproduction for Kireedom was completed. Since all good theatres have been booked for Sivaji, the release of Kireedom has been tentatively postponed to July. Buzz is that the audio of Kireedom would be launched sans any fanfare.

Trisha plays Ajith’s ladylove in the movie. Raj Kiran is cast as Ajith’s father in the movie, which is being produced by veteran actor and producer Balaji’s Sujatha Cine Arts.

Kireetam Release

Eager Ajith fans will be upset that the audio and film release date of Ajith’s ‘Kireetam’ have been postponed. Directed by newcomer Vijay, even the post production for ‘Kireetam’ is over, but the film has not yet been released. Since all good theatres have been booked for ‘Sivaji’ that is to be released on June 15, the release of ‘Kireetam’ was postponed to June 24.

Now the release date has been further postponed to July 2 in the belief that complexes screening ‘Sivaji’ in all their theaters, will have at least one theatre free by then.
The audio release of ‘Kireetam’ was to have taken place on June 15, the date of ‘Sivaji’ film release. Since Ajith is shooting in Malaysia for ‘Billa,’ the audio release will take place sans any function.

Depending on how ‘Sivaji’ fares in Tamilnadu, one can expect further changes in ‘Kireetam’ schedule.

Ajit and Shriya are together !

Ajit had given a date to ‘London’ Karuna of Ayngaran International, the leading overseas Tamil distributors more than a year back. Now the latest we hear is that Ajit will start work on this project, as soon as he completes Billa.

The buzz is that Shriya, the hot and happening girl will be Ajit’s heroine. By that time she would have completed ATM with Vxxxx and would have also been through the first schedule of her Vikram starrer Kandasaamy.

For Shriya it is a major coup as she would have played heroine to top superstars in the industry- Rajnikanth, Vxxxx, Vikram and then Ajit. A film with Kamal Hassan is also in the pipeline, sometime in 2008!

K.S Ravi Kumar who has delivered two hits with Ajit- Villain and Vararaalu is the front runner to direct the film as he is committed to do a film for ‘London’ Karuna.

But Kollywood grapevine is also abuzz that Venkat Prabhu who did that trendsetter Chennai-600028 is emerging as a dark horse. Prabhu is likely to give a story narration to Ajit, sometime later in the month.

Actor Ajith’s name is spelled as “Ajith” by many, even by us Ajith fans. But it is a less known fact that Ajith himself would prefer his name to be spelt as “Ajit”. Ajith’s official website for his fans, Ajitrasigan.com, spells Ajith as “Ajit”.

Ajith is also written as “Ajit” in the certificates which Ajith holds. Below is a certificate Ajith received for securing second place in “Bhangra dance competition” during his 8th standard.

But the spelling “Ajith”, has become so well known that it is going to stand for “Ajit” for a long time to come. But Ajith fans have no problem whatsoever, after all they call him as “Thala” in place of his name.

Namitha thrilled with Billa

The buxom actress Namitha, who had been to Malaysia to shoot for Billa alongside Ajith returned to Chennai on Friday.

The actress, who plays the role enacted by Praveena in the original, was in all praise for Ajith.

Namitha said,”Ajith is one of the handsome heroes in Tamil cinema today and I felt really happy to have been part of his movie”.

The actress is busy acting with Ajith in Billa, Namitha says, “It is a privilege for any actress to be part of Ajith film. I hope the movie go on to make it big at the box office”.

Ullasam duo

Although fans wait with bated breath for the release of Sivaji on June 15, it looks like they may not be alone in their task. Ajith starrer Kreedom and the Vikram starrer Bheema have been wrapped up recently and the producers have decided to slate the movies' release well after June 15th so that they are not swept away in the grand Sivaji tide. Very realistic indeed.

For many of the fans who have been emailing us, enquiring about the arrival of audio tracks of both the movies, we have news for you. The audio of both the projects are said to have come out really well. Sources say that Harris for Bheema and G.V.Prakash for Kreedom have given their best. The respective directors - Lingusamy and Vijay are also kicked up about the sound tracks.
However, it seems to have been decided that even the music release of both the movies will take place two weeks after the release of 'The Boss'. Till then it will be Rahman's Athiradi which will be rocking the audio outlets.

Well, it looks like the battle between the Ullasam duo – Ajith and Vikram will be the next big thing at the Box Office after Sivaji.

Billa starring Ajith shooting is going on in Malaysia in an Island named Lanka Vi, This is where the Hindi don was also shot, they are shooting an action sequence with Ajith ,the action scene consists of a swing and drop down from a 160 feet tall flag post to a nearby air bridge where the hero plans an escape from the police , the shooting is going on 5th June 2007 the famous AXN channels action show Dare Devil team is helping out the crew in the stunt sequence they are harnessing steal rope for actor Ajith with caution and precaution measures and also teaching the basic rules of the stunt, the crew is planning to have a trail shot before the final take, they are also checking on the weather conditions which will help them in the stunt sequences. Ajith denied having a dupe for these sequences as this is a very important part of the film and even the director was very happy with the actor’s decision. Bravo! Ajith kumar.

Prabhu Deva To Rope In Ajith

After successful stints in choreography, acting and directing Prabhu Deva is all set to foray into production. Sources say that Prabhu Deva has approached Ajith for this new venture and looks like the actor is also keen on working with him. At present Prabhu Deva is directing a Telugu movie Shankardada Zindabad and Ajith is busy in Malaysia shooting for Billa.

However, it is still not clear as to who will direct the movie. Whether the producer would rope-in another director or turn producer-director is still uncertain. Readers may also recall that his recent maiden directorial venture in Kollywood, PXXXXX, was a mega success.There are also unconfirmed reports that Prabhu Deva may wield the megaphone for a Bollywood movie starring Salman Khan. That’s too many things brewing in one mind!
