More about Kireedam

Kreedam the latest super hit film from sujatha cine arts and ad labs starring Ajit won rave reviews from all quarters for its heady realism and excellent acting by Ajit in climax. But Ajit being an Ultimate Star with huge fan following in and outside Tamil Nadu, his hardcore fans wanted a positive ending to the story and did want to see our THALA as a loser like we did in Mugavari. Mugavari too fans requested for climax change and it went on to become a super hit. In kreedam the new climax will be available on all 185 prints and will end on a positive note as if Rajikiran’s dream comes true about Ajit. The producer’s PRO [producer is not available here he is touted to be in Malaysia] revealed that the movie has reaped very good profits and said Ajit is really the KING OF OPENING. In sathyam complex alone the movie has made a distributor share of 2.1 crores and the total profit in tamil nadu is estimated to be 6.5-7 crores till now in the first week mega opening. The movie is already a super hit as per collections but to satisfy fans climax has been changed to keep up the longevity of the film in screens! Ajit: The performer;
Thala: The King of Masses; Ultimate Star: The King of Opening

Ajith, Saran together again?

Ajith and director Saran share a good rapport between them. The director's maiden venture Kadhal Mannan featured Ajith in the lead role and it went on to become a big hit.

Saran followed it up with massive hits in films including Amarkalam and Attagasam. Considered a safe bet in the industry, the duo is coming together after a gap of two years.

Sources say Ajith and Saran would work together for a movie which would begin soon. Saran has floated his own production house and has been churning out movies like Aaru and Muni, directed by other directors.

Kireedam- Climax Changed

Ajit’s Kireedam climax has been changed on the request of audiences and fans of the actor. Now the climax has been re-edited, with a positive ending, and will be screened in all theatres across Tamilnadu from Sunday (July 29) evening.

In the new climax, hero Sakthivel (Ajit) after killing the notorious criminal wanted by the police, a voice-over with the Madras High Court in the background says that Sakthi is pardoned. Later he gets a medal from the President of India and the film ends with a shot of Ajit coming in police uniform and saluting his dad.

The audiences of Tamilnadu will not accept a superstar like Ajit as a loser in the end. Remember that Ajit’s Mugavari (2000) climax which also showed him as a loser was changed due to audience’s request. And the Sivaji Ganesan classic Vasantha Maligai(1973) climax which showed him dying was changed to a happy ending three days after the release which later turned out to be a blockbuster.

Says director A.L.Vijay: “Kireedam is doing well at box-office especially in cities like Chennai and Coimbatore. But we are forced to change the climax due to popular request. A press statement will be issued by K.Balaje soon.”

Problems created on purpose for ‘Kireedom’ – fans angry!

Ajith’s supporters are angry that there is some goings on to create a negative impression about ‘Kireedom.’

The problem started with putting up banners. Trisha fan club executive Jessy has complained that Ajith fans purposely broke Trisha cut-outs and tore up the banners. But Ajith fans as well as Ajith’s spokesperson have denied this totally as false.

After Ajith was threatened over Bala’s ‘Naan Kadavul,’ Ajith’s fans became very angry. Ajith intervened and stopped them from getting into retaliation. So Ajith’s side argues that when such is the case, his fans would definitely not indulge in tearing up banners and such activities. They also have a complaint.

There are some troublesome elements, who scream as soon as the film begins and spread unsavory comments about ‘Kireedom’ in theatres on Chennai outskirts as well as in places like Madurai and Erode. On many occasions, these troublemakers have been identified by theatre owners and Ajith’s fans and sent out of the theatres.

Ajith’s side thinks it is the work of those who want to hinder Ajith’s success and these very people could be the ones who are clashing with Trisha fans too.

All this is making Ajith fans very angry!

Kireedom No.15 on UK Box Office

United Kingdom Box Office - July 20–22, 2007

Screens : 5
Avg : $7,996
Gross to Date : $39,982
Week : 1

Kreedam is No.2 opener of 2007!

Ajith fans are in a jubilant mood because ‘Kireedom’ has come out very well. Produced by Suresh Balaji for Sujatha Cine Arts, The Ajith-Trisha starrer has been released today all over Tamilnadu. It is habitual for Ajith fans to give a festive atmosphere to theaters, every time a new Ajith film is released. The same is true this time too for the release of ‘Kireedom.’ They did the usual milk abhishekam and beer abhishekam for Ajith cut outs and also distributed sweets to those who had come to see the film. Those fans who had come to watch the 9am show at Kasi Theater, recognized director Vijay and held him aloft on their shoulders in appreciation, tossing him up and catching him, for giving a super film for Thala. Ajith has been unwell and he is recuperating in a farm house on East Coast Rd. From there, he learnt about how well his fans have received ‘Kireetam’ and that has put him in a happy mood.
Trade has now confirmed that Kreedam has emerged as the second largestopener of 2007 (after Sivaji). This milestone was reached with merely afraction of the publicity given for Sivaji.
Minimum gross expected - Rs.180 million. Meanwhile Ayngaran reports that Kreedam has opened in around 20 screensthroughout the EU.
Instead the stupid game played by some culprits to give bad reviews on the movie, Kireedam is likely to be the best movie till date for this period of the year after Sivaji in term of collections

Will Kreedam beat Varalaru?

Kireedam has opened in style. Ajith is always considered a 'King of Opening' at the box office. His fans have not disappointed him this time. Directed by A L Vijay, the movie starring Ajith, Trisha and Raj Kiran in pivotal roles has every ingredient in it to become a blockbuster. Ajith plays a youth, who aspires to become a police officer to realize his father's dreams. G V Prakash's music and Thiru's cinematography have won rave reviews.

1995 - Aasai (Rs.50 million)

1996 - Kadhal Kottai (Rs.100 million)

1999 - Vaali (Rs.200 million)

2002 - Villan (Rs.300 million)

2006 - Varalaru (Rs.500 million)

2007 - Kreedam?

Some useless people are understandably peeved at the overwhelmingly positive reviews that keep piling up for the latest Thala blockbuster. But let’s get to the numbers first. Sify, as usual, was at its dirty trick. It claimed the film released in only 185 screens. This is nonsense. Actually it would be almost twice this - 360 screens.

Anyway, Sify did not accept that Villan was the all-time blockbuster of Thala until the release of Varalaru in 2006. So, we guess Sify will only accept Varalaru as the present all-time blockbuster until a new peak is scaled by Kreedam/Billa by the end of this year. Will Kreedam beat Varalaru in the present climate of reduced ticket rates? Aalwar grossed Rs.100 million as it suffered from overwhelmingly negative reviews. So Kreedam should definitely do more than that.

Sivaji has already crossed the Rs.500 million marks in the past five weeks and is still a competitive force to reckon with. If the film finds steady patronage, Kreedam may cross the Rs.300 million mark at the box office. To beat Varalaru, Kreedam needs long legs, repeat audience, more shows and clever marketing blitz.

Ajit’s competitor is only Ajit, right?!!

Kreedom: on toes

Kreedom doing well in Kollywood. The Friday released Thala’s Kreedom is overwhelmed by the fans. In Chennai seven theaters released Ajith’s Kreedom and all the theaters, all shows running successfully.

Ajith who recovered from viral fever is again disturbed by peoples to convey their wishes to Ajith for doing a good job. The debutant director Vijay seems to be happy after seeing the overpowering response from the audience in theaters and Music director G V Prakash also happy about his music which he scored for the film. In overall aspects Kreedom regained Ajith’s lost Kreedom from Kollywood

'Kireedom' is box office hit!

Ajith's new film 'Kireedom' is running to full house in A, B and C centres as well as in multiplexes. A Chennai theater owner said it was surprising that despite flops and long gaps, Ajith's film is doing so well.

Distributors circle say that an Ajith film has a guaranteed business returns of 18 crores. After the opening of 'Sivaji,' the film that has had the best opening this year is 'Kireedom.' The revenue proves that it is a box office hit.

The film has also come in for critical acclaim. Except for the sentiment scenes after intermission, the rest of the film is praiseworthy according to critics.

Ajith has proved through 'Kireedom' that if one lessens heroism a bit and stays true to the story, a film can definitely be a hit. Others can learn from him!

Kreedom Interests Shankar

After Sivaji it’s now Kreedom’s turn to bask in the limelight. Though Kreedom’s release was delayed due to some unforeseen problems, everything turned well with the movie receiving good reviews and appreciation all over. Director Shankar, who has seen the movie two days ago, was praising Ajith’s performance in Kreedom to no end.

Shankar, back home from a holiday, is busy with two of his productions coming up. In spite of this busy schedule, the director took some time off with his family to see the movie at the Sathyam Theatre. Shankar said that seeing the movie amongst Ajith’s fans was an exhilarating experience. The fans were also equally excited to see Shankar. The crowd nearly mobbed the director and threw a volley of questions at him. Many curious fans and onlookers wanted to know if Shankar and Ajith would work together in the near future. Not ruling out the possibility, the director said that if such an opportunity opens up he would surely consider it. On Vijay’s direction, Shankar said that he had a good future as a director.

Kreedam climax – behind the scenes

The heart broken climax scene of Kreedam where Ajit cries was undoubtly among the best climax of his filmography and may be also among the Tamil cinema. This one has been shot for 3 days; more number of retakes has been putforth by the director A.L Vijay. The interesting news is that Kireedam title has been selected by Thala himself.

After getting a great expectations and a very good word of mouth about the movie, Adlabs now has been carried out a right way of promotion through TV channels. Especially sun music which is playing Kireedam songs for every one hour.

Kireedam Opens Big

Ajith is considered a King of Collections for his fans have turned up in large numbers for his movies' opening.

Kireedam is no different. The movie on Friday opened to full houses all across the State.

Fans thronged in large numbers early in the morning and it was celebration time at all the screens.

Special poojas were also held for the movie to succeed in several theatres. Kireedam starring Ajith, Trisha and Raj Kiran is directed by A L Vijay and is produced by Suresh Balaje and Adlabs.

A mix of action, humor and romance, the movie has managed to win positive reviews. The beginning looks brighter for Kireedam.

According to the director, “The early reports are encouraging. Audiences have ensured full houses even in interior parts of the State. I am thankful to my co-stars, my technicians and above all the masses for the grand successes”.

Joy for 'Thala' fans

Ajith fans had a gala time at theatres where Kireedam was released on Friday morning.
They queued up in large numbers since the morning and distributed sweets and cheered their favorite hero. Huge cutouts and posters were put up in front of the theatres.

Kireedam, a remake of the Malayalam hit of the 80s, the film scores because its core is about humanism and the values that bond all cultured beings. The natural bonding between a father and son is brought out spontaneously by Ajith and Raj Kiran. Kireedam is a commercial movie.
A grand opening for Ajith's Kireedam indeed.

'Ajith's performance is mind-blowing'

After Sivaji, Ajith's Kireedam is the most anticipated film in Tamil from debutant director Vijay.
In this interview, Vijay talks about Kireedam, which is a loose remake of the Malayalam film of the same name, directing Ajith and more.

How did this project come to you?

Even as a child, I was passionate about films because my father was a Tamil film producer. After my graduation, I started working as an assistant to Priyadarshan. For four years I assisted him in films like Lesa Lesa, Hungama, Kilichundan Mambazham and Kakakuyil.

Then I started making commercials (around 65 of them ) though my first love is feature films.
One day, Priyadarshan asked me to watch the Malayalam Kireedam and then write a script in Tamil. For the last one year, I was working on that.

Ajit - King Of Opening

Ajit the "king of opening" is strong on the advance booking front in Chennai city. His Kireedam has been sold out in five Chennai screens for the opening weekend !

According to Nag Ravi, the Chennai city distributor of the film: " I think the film will open well. We are already sold out for the weekend. I have added one more screen Raj at Jayaprada complex to ease the pressure for tickets. The film has already netted Rs 28.64 lakhs in advance booking from five screens".

It is good news for all Ajit fans, as his last release Aalwar was a washout on the release day itself. Tonight (July 19), Nag Ravi is planning to hold a big premiere for Kireedam at Sangam cinemas in Chennai.

Get Ready For Kireedam

Kireedam is releasing this weekend with 185 prints.

Kireedam, a remake of Malayalam blockbuster titled the same, features Ajith, Trisha and Raj Kiran, is directed by A L Vijay and produced by Suresh Balaji and Adlabs.

The film, which has got a ‘U’ certificate, will open in eight screens in Chennai. The actor is confident that he can make amends with Kireedam. On his part, the director too is thrilled with the release.
The advance booking commenced a couple of days and is reportedly doing brisk business.

Ajith is considered an actor who commands big opening at the box office.

Hopefully Kireedam will live up to the reputation.

KIREEDAM Review

For once a Tamil remake of a Malayalam classic, lives up to our expectations. Kireedam is quality cinema, one that is daringly different from the run-of-the mill superstar films that are dished out in the name of mass movies.

High on adrenaline as well as human emotions, it turns out to be a well-packaged family entertainer. It is not your typical Ajit film as there is no larger-than- life hero bashing up a dozen men at one go or a vigilante trying to clean up the society. It is about real people and their anxieties that you can relate to – a loving father, a sincere policeman whose dream is to see his son wear the police uniform before he retires from service.

There are many scenes and moments that touch your heart. This film wouldn't be half the film it is if it weren't for the remarkable performance of Raj Kiran and Ajit who play father and son. It has an intelligent screenplay, sometimes humorous, sometimes poignant and gripping which leaves a lump in your throat.

Rajarajan (Raj Kiran), a policeman, is a doting father and upright head constable posted at a Tiruchi police station. Sakthivel (Ajit), his eldest son, is the apple of his eye who is waiting for his selection to the police force. Rajarajan is a policeman who follows the book and believes that policemen are guardians of the society and should do good for the public.

He has a large family of a loving wife (Saranya), two daughters with one of them married to a good-for-nothing guy (Vivek), and two sons. Meanwhile Sakthi meets Divya (Trisha) a college student and after a few comic incidents they fall in love. Both the families agree for the marriage but in a sudden turn of events, Rajarajan is given a punishment transfer for slapping the local MLA’s son who misbehaved with another policeman in public.

When Rajarajan refuses to apologise to the MLA’s son, he is transferred to Kodaikal, a notorious small town, ruled by a gangster Varadarajan (Ajay). When he arrives there, he finds that the local Sub Inspector (Ravi Kala) has been brutally beaten up by Varadan, and the cops, fearing the don, have not filed an FIR!! It is the beginning of more trouble for Rajarajan and his family, especially Sakthi, who gets sucked into a difficult situation, for no fault of his. On the day Sakthi gets selected as an SI, something untoward happens, that changes the course of their life.

Kireedam showcases Ajit as never before, it is his best performance in a very difficult role. He looks so dashing and at the same time exudes menace with his expressive body and eye language, and the climax belongs to him. Don’t miss his on-screen chemistry with Trisha, especially their romantic encounters. And Trisha can’t ask for more in an action-based family drama about father-son relationship. She spells magic on the screen with her bubbly comedy act, the naughty and talkative girl who falls for the soft spoken guy. She is irresistible, and looks great in the dream song Akkam Pakkam…, which is beautifully picturised by cameraman Tirru, with the backwaters and forest green as background.

Raj Kiran as the doting but strict disciplinarian father writes an actors` manual for impeccable acting. Saranya and K P A C Lalitha are adequate for the mother and grand ma act. The Vivek-Santhanam comedy track raises a few laughs. However, Trisha steals the thunder with her comedy antics especially in the scene when she speaks her heart out to Ajit on what she thinks about his family sitting in the water tank, as Vivek and rest of the family overhear their conversation.

On the downside, the main villain character done by Ajay is a little weak, and does not have the necessary menace in him. The introductory song of Ajit could have been better picturised. G V Prakash’s music is rocking, especially the song Kanavellam… on the father-son relationship and their aspirations with meaningful lyrics of Na. Muthukumar.

Antony’s editing is crisp without using any gimmicks, which enriches the story telling. Tirru’s camera work is eye catching and has used Vizag and Kerala locales suitably to fit in with the mood of the film. What makes the film work is the charm of the central characters, the father-son bonding, and the sentimental ending contributes considerably towards tugging at your heart strings.

The film may not be typical Ajit mass masala formula movie, but there is an elegant charm and a straight-from- the-heart feel about it. Bravo director Vijay, producer Suresh Balaje and his team for making a gutsy, daringly different film within the commercial format. It needs a lot of guts and conviction to make a realistic film without resorting to crass clichéd formula associated with a superstar film.

On the whole, Kireedam is an engaging entertainer which is so rare to find these days. Go for it !

Ajith back home and recuperating

Good news to Ajith's fans is that, he is back home from the hospital. It is said that he got ill due to the change of food habit in Malaysia, were he was shooting for Billa 2007. According to the doctors treating the actor, he has been discharged from the hospital but should be under complete rest for the next month or so. The actor is now said to recuperating at a farm house on the East Coast Road.

Being a thoroughly committed actor that he is, Ajith is still insistent upon completing the filming of Billa. Whether the actor, heeding the doctors' advice will rest for a while or succumb to the work pressure is yet to be seen.

Thalai takes on Boss!

Ajit's Kireedam is releasing on Friday, July 20 worldwide, with around 185 prints. It is only one third, the number of prints deployed for Rajnikanth's Sivaji! Still trade pundits are saying it is the first big film, to take on the behemoth and everybody is saying a silent prayer for its success.

The battle is basically confined to Tamilnadu, as Kireedam has no Telugu dubbed version, and is not releasing in Kerala and has limited release overseas and five prints in Mumbai multiplexes. Ajit better known as "King of opening" is taking on Rajnikanth, the "Sultan of box-office", who is going great guns in his sixth week!

In Chennai city, it is not a level playing field. KIreedam is opening in only five screens- Santham, Inox, Sangam,Jayaprada, Agasthya with a combined seating capacity of approximately 4100 seats. Sivaji in its sixth weekend will still have 14 screens, and three times more capacity and definitely better gross collections!

Clearly Thalaivan rules, and Thalai will not be able to get the Kireedam (Crown) at the Chennai Box-Office (CBO), in the opening week. In NSC area,Thalai has a better chance of getting the crown, as Kireedam is releasing in 31 screens and in some complexes like Chrompet Vetri, it is releasing in the bigger screen.

Kireedam is also releasing in NSC border theatres like Kasi in Jaffarkhanpet, Jyanthi in Thiruvanmayoor, SSR Pankajam in Saligramam, and Rohini in Koyambedu, which are all part of greater Chennai.

Meanwhile Kireedam overseas prints have left Adlabs in Chennai on Monday evening. The advance booking which opened on Tuesday in Chennai city has been brisk, and the weather forecast for this weekend July 20 to 22, is sunny though cloudy. Thalai needs the crown badly, for his own survival at the top.

Trisha hopes big on Kireedom.

Wish our Thala a Speedy Recovery

Ajit, just back from Malaysia, has been hospitalized in Chennai today (July 16) morning. The actor is said to be suffering from a bad viral infection.

The last three months has been hectic for Ajit, who had his recurring back pain after doing the climax scenes of Kireedam. Later after a week’s rest he went to Malaysia for the shoot of Billa, which was a long drawn out affair.

During that period, he flew down to Chennai three times to see his wife Shalini, who was in the family way. A week back he had come to Chennai again to see the first copy of Kireedam and looked visibly tired.

Later he went back to KL and completed the final schedule of Billa, which is now 75 percent complete. All that remains is some talkie portion and two songs, which are to be shot on sets in Chennai.

Now doctors have asked him to take complete rest, for the next six weeks. We wish the star a speedy recovery.

Kireedom Paper Ad - 17th June

Even when she was a model, she was bowled over by Ajith. Because of Ajith, she saw 'Vaali' many times. Trisha cannot forget about acting with him in 'Ji.' "Ajith is really a gorgeous actor," she said then. She says the same now.
Trisha's friend Hema has started a new magazine. The inauguration took place in Chennai. Trisha participated in the function and in her speech she said, "The most gorgeous make in Tamilnadu is Ajith."
The films of all the actors who have acted with Trisha have been hits. The only exception is 'Ji' with Ajith that did not do too well. Trisha was very happy when she got the opportunity to act again with Ajith in ''Kireedom.' She firmly believes that the film will be a great hit.
Trisha has called Ajith the most gorgeous male in Tamilnadu. Who is the most gorgeous female in Tamil films?
"Shriya! What a fantastic dress sense she has!"
When a pretty girl like Trisha is all compliments, then it must be true!

Ajith Hospitalized

Ajith is very upbeat as his latest offering Kreedom is getting rave reviews from the lucky few who have seen it and the movie after much delay is releasing this Friday. But bad news is in store for all Ajith fans as their "Thala" is suffering from jaundice and is now hospitalized in a private hospital in Chennai.

Big Push For "KREEDOM" Audio Sales !!!

As many as five lakh audio cassettes and CDs of Ajith-starrer “Kireedom” have been released by Big Audio, which is part of 92.7 Big FM radio of the Reliance Group. “Kireedom” is the first film produced by Reliance’s Adlabs in collaboration with Suresh Balaji’s Sujatha Cine Arts.

Big Audio has so far confined itself to Hindi films and released cassettes and CDs of may Hindi films. “Kireedom” is the first Tamil film for which this organization has bought the audio rights. Besides releasing five lakh cassettes and CDs of this film, Big Audio has organized through Big FM the relay of songs in phone-in programmes at intervals of one hour. A lot of listeners enthusiastically participate in this programme, it is said.

“Kireedom”, directed by debutant Vijay (a one-time assistant of Priyadarshan) is a remake of the Malayalam movie of the same title directed by Sibi Malayil. N. Muthukumar has written the songs for the Tamil version and G.V. Prakash is the music director.

It is touted as the next big release after “Sivaji: The Boss” and is expected to hit the screen shortly. It was to have been released on May 1 to coincide with Ajith’s birthday. The uncertainty over the date of release of “Sivaji” delayed its release.

Trisha plays Ajith’s heroine. Raj Kiran plays the role of Ajith’s father. Saranya is also in the cast. Ajith’s last film was “Alwar” which was not as successful as expected. The actor hopes “Kireedom” would give him a big break.

Ajit , The Mohanlal Of Tamil ::: Priyadharshan !!!

Ajith's Kreedom was specially screened for its director Vijay's guru Priyadarshan who incidentally directed the movie's Hindi version over a decade ago. Famous film critics also joined Priyadarshan, on Thursday, at the Four frames theatre. After the preview show, everybody came out satisfied.

When Priyadarshan was asked to comment on the film, the famous director showered praises on his one time assistant saying that he has impressed all with a superb show and added that he is proud of him. Getting such praise from his guru is bound to make the director very happy. Priyadarshan also had some words of praise for Ajith, he said “Ajith is the Mohanlal of Tamil cinema”. The veteran director said that Ajith's and Rajkiran’s performance in Kreedom was spellbinding.

"KIREEDAM" Gets "U"

Kireedam, the Ajit-Raj Kiran-Trisha starrer directed by Vijay has been given a ‘U’ certificate with some minor cuts and dialogue muting.

Kireedam is a family entertainer with lot of emotions and the action scene are a part of the story. Last week A.L Vijay, the director of the film had a special screening of the film for his ‘guru’ Priyadarsan, who gave some “valuable inputs” for the betterment of the project.

Later Ajit flew down from Malaysia where he was shooting for Billa, for a day to see the first copy of the film. The film is to have shaped out well as a family entertainer. The music is a big hit, with most of the music shops reporting that the nephew (G.V Prakash) has beaten the uncle’s (A.R Rahman) Sivaji audio sale, last week!

Kireedam Press Meet - THE HAPPENINGS

Kireedam the mega venture from the table of reliance adlabs and Sujatha cine arts starring our THALA AJIT. The production team held a press meet today. Raj narayan, Suresh balaji, Mano Akiini, AL VIJAY, Na.Muthukumar, GV Prakash were all present.

Kanavellam and Akkam Pakkam songs were played and it seems both songs rocked with excellent cinema making, camera and editing! THala looked awesome it seems. Ad labs Team, Director Vijay and GV Prakash were all very very confident about the film and have said it’s really a surprise that a debutant director has churned out such a good movie.

Director Vijay contributed the completion of work with good quality to producers, next to casting and last but not least to Thala Ajit. He said shooting took 72 days while movie making in total took 6 months. He has done his best and if anything goes wrong no one should blame Ajit but only blame him because it was he who persuaded thala to do this movie.
GVP said he spent 32 days to score the BGM, and has done a pretty good job and said the movie rocks.

Director Vijay on a final note said main credit goes to Ajit and Rajkiran for having come up with stunning performances. He also said Ajit will have a new and natural body language in this movie and Ajit has worked on it himself without any guidance. The two songs played seems to have excellent camerawork and akkam pakkam starts when both families watch some RAJINI movie in theater together and editing is a highpoint along with exotic locales and mind blowing camera work.

Mano Akkini the co-producer and the team leader of the adlabs production team was full of smiles and she expressed her great confidence in the movie and said they used AJit’s mass as their launch pad in kollywood .

Na.Muthukumar said he was friend of AL VIJAY for 10 years and when vijay invited him to write dialogues along with him for the movie, he was thrilled and grabbed the opportunity. He also appreciated Ajit’s screen presence and Rajkiran’s acting. Mr.Suresh balaji said the film is yet to be censored and 20th is still not a confirmed date and he wished to release as soon as possible. He also expected a very good reaction from the fans and crowd for the climax scene where he reported Ajit’s acting and Rajkiran’s acting were scintillating and he had no words to appreciate Ajit’s tremendous screen presence and his hard work to act in the most natural way without any build up being a mass hero.

We think KREEDAM will indeed crown Ajit thats for sure, hope it crowns Ajit Fans too! Now it’s in your hands mates to give the film a bumper never seen before opening!

Kreedam - First Review

Thanks : Ajithfans.com

Our friend Aravind Thyagarajan managed to watch the First special pre-certification preview show at four frames with the Kreedam crew. He even took a still with Thala Ajit who looked dashing in blazers as usual. The movie has a veyr natural feel throughout and very less masala except for the intro song it seems. Ajit and Rajkiran have acted very well and the villian AJAY too has done a commendable job. As AjitFans.com already reported GV Prakash has spent 32 days for the BGM and of course the BGM is reportedly has come out in a fabulous way gelling well with the mood of the scene. The climax of the movie is very natural and different without any over buildup or mass fights like hero thrashing 10-20 people etc. It is a one to one fight between the villian and Ajit and has been shot in the most natural way possible.
There are only 3 [one face off with villian in climax, one fight with rajkiran and villian in middle and one intro fight in dream sequence] fights in the movie which has been choreographed by super subbarayan in a very down to earth but still riveting and powerful fashion without any rope work or flying around. The camera and editing is said to be a high point for the film as the picturisation seems to be having a great look according to the mood of the scene.
Ajit was visibly very satisfied with the outcome and the response of the group of guys who watched the movie was “This Ajit movie has a great natural feel sans masala, surely a different effort that should end up as a superhit”.
It is difficult for you guys to believe this news but to hack all lies and myths we have managed to get the picture of Ajit and Aravind thyagarajan taken today morning at Four Frames.

Billa : As of Now

Thanks: Ajithfans.com
It takes guts to act in a remake of mohanal or rajinikanth. Certainly Ajit’s first name is GUTS it seems like. Billa, a very high budget slick flick being directed by the modern age stylish director who presents movies with manirathnam touch, Vishnuvardhan. Music is being taken care by the music sensation Yuvan Shankar Raja. Camera is by the in-demand cameraman and Ajit’s friend NIRAV SHAH and editing by national award winner sreekar prasad. Produced by the giant L.Suresh, the movie is progressing as per the meticulous plans of vishnuvardhan in Malaysia.
We at ajithfans.com reported the shooting was going on at a place called “CAMEROON HIGHLANDS” in malaysia a tea estate like place like our ooty. Currently shooting is going on at The Malaysian Trade Centre building. A fight sequence involving helicopters was shot with some new camera like super35, with special permission from the malaysian authorities.
Ajit uses an A Class Mercedes and is always blazer clad and looks like a rich Don. A slight change in the body language and looks have been implemented by him to give more evil and dark look to the DON character. As per now we have no news about the second character in the movie that of a street dancer. BILLA is certainly the most expected movies of this year after dasvatharam and sivaji and no other movie is able to acquire so much hype even while no stills have been released.

That is star power of THALA AJIT!!

Kreedom To Be Censored Today !!!

Kreedom, the next biggie in Kollywood, has been in the pipeline, waiting to hit the screens, for over a month now. And the grapevine has it that the movie will not hit the theatres on July 12th as expected but will grace the screens a week later on the 20th. Thanks to Sivaji, as the Kreedom distributors were unable to find a good theatre.
Kreedom, an action-family drama, to be censored today, is expected to be given a clean U certificate. So Ajith fans can be rest assured that the movie will reach the theatres on 20th, but as Sivaji is still drawing unprecedented crowds and the theatre owners trying to get the most out of this craze obtaining a good theatre even on 20th seems to be doubtful. And in case the movie cannot be accommodated in any of the good theatres then the release date might be postponed. So it’s all in the hands of The Boss.

Ajith, who is in Malaysia shooting for Billa is expected back in town the day after on a personal visit, to see his beloved wife Shalini. In his short visit of two days, the actor is expected to preview the censored version just before it hits the screens, sources say.

Kireedam Release

The Ajit-Trisha starrer Kireedam has been postponed by a week from July 12 to July 20. The producers of the film Adlabs and Suresh Balaji, was forced to take the decision to get good theatres in Tamilnadu. You can call it the Sivajieffect, as in many centres in Tamilnadu, the film is running in multiple screens, blocking the release of new films.
The earliest that these extra screens can remove Sivaji is five weeks, which will give them a chance to recover the huge MG's that they have paid. Added to that, all areas of Kireedam has been sold. The all important NSC area, has been purchased by Nemichand Jabak for a decent price. Says Hitesh Jabak, of Nemichand Jabak, and producer of the hit Njaan Avanillai: " Yes, I told the producers, that I want the films release to get postponed by a week, so that we get good theatres.”
In Pondicherry, a part of NSC area Sivaji is running in three out of the five theatres, and the theatre booked for Kireedam, say that they can play it only after they recover their investments. Now that Jabak, has taken over NSC, all distribution woes of Kireedam are over. What matters the most is the film should entertain, have a basic story to say and our Thalaishould regain his form. Kireedam will be censored in the next two days and it will have no opposition till Bheema releases, sometime in September.

Japak Nemichand Gets Kireedom's Distribution Rights !!!

Producer Nemichand Japak is a happy man. After his successful production venture Naan Avan Illai, he has now obtained the distribution rights for Ajith starrer Kireedom. Japak will distribute Kireedom in North Arcot, South Arcot and Chengalpet areas. Kireedom starring Ajith and Trisha and directed by debutant A L Vijay is all set for release later this month. A happy Japak says, “The movie has come really good. I am hopeful that Kireedom would go on to make it big”.

Caring Ajith

Taking time off from his busy shooting schedules of Billa 2007, Ajith flew down from Malaysia to be wiht his beloved wife Shalini who is in the family way. The favourite couple of Kollywood is about to welcome a new addition and the happiest person is grandpa-to-be Babu, Shalini's father. He and his wife have been by Shalini's side while Ajith is busy with his shooting schedules. Shalini has been advised complete bed rest by her doctor and Ajith now keeps in touch with her through regular sms and at least three calls a day! With Billa almost 80 percent complete, the actor will be back by mid-July.

Kireedam : Audio Sales Report

Kreedam has young maestro GV prakash kumar the nephew of the Isai Puyal AR Rahman scoring the Songs and BGM. The song has turned out to be chartbusters making all music lovers awed by its heart melting melodies and catchy tunes. As per sources in BIG AUDIO and PRO of Kreedam production unit 5 lakh units of Audio Cds along with 8 lakh Audio cassettes have been sold out in just a week.
The audio collection itself has turned out to be blockbuster, lets wish the movie too turns out to be one.

Ajit watches KIREEDAM trailer on internet

Our ultimate star THALA Ajit is currently shooting for his magnum opus BILLA in Cameroon Highlands in Malaysia. News of the release of Kreedam trailer has reached our Thala’s PRO in the form of the trailer’s DVD but due to some reasons the DVD could not be used. Hence Thala was guided to visit a website ( we do not want to mention the name) where Kreedam trailer was viewed by him.
It seems Thala was very much satisfied by the trailer and looks forward to it s release. For sure if this film turns out to be a super hit it would motivate Ajit to work with better technical teams and also step up the hype n hoopla surrounding BILLA.

Theatre List For Kreedam : Speculations and Bona fides

There are lots of speculations about the theatres in which kreedam is going to release in Chennai. The trailer is said have been shown in Abirami mall too. The news we got initially was that Sathyam theatre is not taking Kreedam and instead DEVI would screen the movie.
Now the confirmed list seems to have reached our ears. Sathyam is said to have bought the film by paying an advance few days back and they are planning to screen it in 2 screens in Sathyam complex just like Sivaji.
Devi is also under consideration and will most probably release. Abirami has been almost confirmed and Sangam has paid the advance amount already. The sureshot and almost sure ones are : Sathayam, Devi, Abirami, Sangam, Mayajal.
If the movie is going to be screened in Bharath, Kaasi, Udayam, Albert , Inox, or any one or 2 out of these we can expect a mega release. Not to forget suburban theatres like rohini, raaki etc.

Nag-Ravi and Arya To Distribute KREEDAM

The post production work for Kreedam is over and the prints are getting ready at adlabs in Mumbai. Now the big question among fans is who is going to distribute Kreedam All over? As for the news we managed to get, overseas Ayngaran has planned to distribute it.
In Chennai actor ARYA and NAG-RAVI’s Insight media have bought the distribution rights. For an ultimate star like Ajit these rights are bought on blind-buy basis due to immense star power of Thala.
Since 2 people are distributing in Chennai it is expected to have a grand release and overseas being ayngaran it is undoubtedly expected to be best opener.
